Payment & Cancellation Policies

• Cancellations are permitted within the time window stated in the contract, with full refunds of deposits or advance rent if cancellation occurs before collecting keys. First-year students may cancel if they do not receive their university offer, and international students may cancel if their visa is refused—both within seven days of receiving the outcome. After keys are collected, the right to cancel ends, and once moved in, early release is only possible if a suitable replacement tenant is found; otherwise, the full rent for the contract period remains payable.

• A deposit and any required advance rent must be paid as outlined in the accommodation contract, with the first rent instalment—if due before early September—paid manually to confirm the booking. Subsequent payments can be made through the online portal or app via direct debit or card. For short-stay or non-student bookings, full payment is taken at the time of booking, and the reservation is only confirmed once payment has cleared; if payment is not received, the room may be released.
