The Kemptown bookshop in Brighton was opened 50 years ago and has three floors containing a wide range of genres both for adults and children. An online ordering service for books is also available. 3. Goldsboro Books

Goldsboro Books has a huge collection of best sellers, exclusives, debut novels etc. The bookshop located in Ship Street aims to “interest and inspire book lovers” and also has a store in London at Cecil Court. The different genres available here include adventure, crime, drama, horror, travel, poetry, and non-fiction, among others. The bookstore was started by two friends and book collectors, David Headley and Daniel Gedeon in 1999 and ever since has become an admired bookshop in Brighton. City Books, founded and run by Paul and Inge Sweetman, spreads over two floors and is located on Western Road in the Brunswick area of Brighton and Hove. The shop was shortlisted twice for the national ‘Independent Bookshop of the Year Award’ and won the Muddy Stiletto award for Best Bookshop in Sussex in 2018.
