1. Evenly Wood Garden
Evenly Wood Garden is situated on a seam of acid soil in a region which is otherwise alkaline in nature. This fact provides suitable conditions for plants like Camellias, Magnolias, and Rhododendrons to grow in this garden which are otherwise not possible to grow in this region. Spread across 60 acres of land, it is a woodland garden which consists of some rare trees, bulbs and shrubs.

2. Stowe House
Embed from Getty ImagesIf you are someone who likes getting immersed in art then look out for the following things at Stowe House – the North Hall with an astonishing painted ceiling, the Pantheon-inspired Marble Saloon, the State Music Room with abundant gilding, and the State Dining Room.
To give a brief background of Stowe Hose, Its construction was started in 1677 and was completed in four phases. It culminated when an extravagant construction was commissioned by Earl Temple which took as many as 9 years to complete.
Coded in almost every part of the design, Classical ruins and mythology are two dominating ideas behind the interior of this country house. Among many August guests at Stowe House were Queen Victoria and Prince Albert who were awestruck by the beauty and the splendour of the building.

3. National Trust Stowe
The Stowe Estate was owned by Temple-Grenvilles, who were rich and quirky at the same time. Due to their abundant wealth this family throughout the 18th century rebuilt Stowe House in an extravagant style. This resulted in a scenic landscape which included classical temples as reminders of Grand Tours.
Presently, National Trust owns the grounds and they are open 365 days a year. 4. Old Gaol Museum
Inside the Old Gaol Museum, you would be amazed to learn about the poachers, counterfeiters, thieves and murderers who spent their term at the Gaol and some of the audacious escapes made by a few of them.
Designed like a castle, Buckingham’s Georgian Gaol was raised in 1748. In 1839 Sir George Gilbert Scott later added the rounded front of the building in an attempt to accommodate the Gaoler.
In most of the 19th century, the Old Gaol was used as a police station after which it was turned into a fire station, public toilet, antiques shop and cafe but in the 1980s this place was rescued and turned into a museum.

5. Chantry Chapel
A large fire in 1725 broke out in Buckingham which left the town in ruins due to which only a few older buildings still remain. Among these buildings, the Chantry Chapel is the oldest one and is currently owned by the National Trust.
In the 12th century, this place was initially a hospital after which in 1238 it was turned into a Chantry Chapel by Matthew de Stratton. In the 1470s the building was reworked but there are still traces of 12th-century Norman features.
