Kettle’s Yard 

Kettle’s Yard used to be the residence of Helen and Jim Ede. Since Jim used to work as a curator at the Tate Gallery, the couple filled their home with artwork from artists like Joan Miro and Barbara Hepworth. Generously, the Edes gave all of this to Cambridge University. Today, visitors can enjoy this artwork, which is beautifully arranged at the Edes residence.

The Fitzwilliam Museum 

It is the most popular tourist attraction in the city of Cambridge. Queen’s College was initially founded in 1448 by Andrew Dockett under the patronage of Henry VI’s wife, Margaret of Anjou. It was founded again in 1465 by Edward IV’s wife, Elizabeth Woodville. Among all the Cambridges’ colleges, Queen College has the most complete medieval buildings which include the magnificent gateway known as the Mathematical Bridge. This bridge is called this as it was built without nails and is still quite strong due to the mathematical calculations used to build this bridge.

Great St.Mary’s Church 

Constructed in the 15th century, Great St. Mary’s Church is both a parish and university church. It entails beautiful interiors and galleries which were added in 1739. The tower was erected in 1608 and became quite popular due to its exquisite view over Cambridge. Another worthwhile place to visit is Little St. Mary. It is also known as St. Mary the Less and is an Anglican Parish church popular for its many finely stained glass windows.
